A little about Phlexx Records & The Phlexx Collective
Phlexx Records
Since 2013
Phlexx Records operates as an independent record label and events company based in Nottingham UK. As well as nurturing a diverse roster of artists on our label, we also program regular live music and spoken word events, and run our own exhibition series titled Phlexxibitions.
Phlexx Records has been a household brand in and around the City of Nottingham since 2013. Started out by Trekkah and Bru-C as a way to put on shows for their group, The Afterdark Movement, the label has danced its way through the years beginning with multi-stage events at famous Nottingham venue, the Maze. Since then we have held events at the Nottingham Contemporary, we’ve got sweaty programming Bassline raves at Bar 11, we have featured on DJ sets for Mimm Radio and presents Poetry Slams at Suede Bar for Nottingham Poetry Festival. We have hosted our Phlexxibitons at various unique locations throughout the City and curated festival stages from various Arts and Cultural festival such as Broadfest, Dot2Dot and Hockley Hustle.
Since establishing as an Independent Record Label we have seen over 60 releases go out on our label, with artists such as Do Nothing, Bru-C, Soft Girls & Boys Club, Nactus Kunan and Marco Woolf. With every release the label grows and we are boosting an impressive catalogue of releases, we are proud of all of the national and international sync plays, radio plays and blog/zine features reviews and interviews we have setup for our roster. Over 2020 we levelled up the label and are now partnered with leading global distributor Believe and have a publishing partnership with Genre Fluid. We have also be accepted into the inner circle of the world with a partnership with the leading sync house for Sky, BBC and Channel 4.

After the huge success of the last Phlexx Collective, we are absolutely buzzing to announce a new cohort of young creatives to the program… and this time we have teamed up with Mimm Studios. Each member of the collective has also pitched their own micro-project where they will receive funding and support to bring it to fruition. A huge thank you goes out to Nottingham C.A.N for supporting us in the project and to the Youth Music Incubator Fund, who funded our project through funding from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery.
Phlexx Collective 2020/21
